Okay, so I did a little poll on the Shining Fist Forums on which characters you wanted me to cover. Each person was allowed to vote for once character in each of three categories. The first category being potential newcomers (not deconfirmed by the dojo as an Assist Trophy or Pokéball Pokémon), the second being a Melee playable character that isn’t confirmed in Brawl, and the third and last category being any newcomer or veteran confirmed in Brawl as a playable character.
We had a few intresting results, but some were also seemingly predictable. Immediately after this on my Character Evaluation thread when I edit the first post and say voting is open again, please vote again. Anyways, let us jump in, but before we do that, I must say I am evaluating two veterans instead of one, due to a tie. So let my character evaluation BEGIN!
Confirmed Brawl Character: Diddy Kong

Okay, I got to level with you, this was my most desired newcomer for Brawl. When I first saw him, I woke all 6 people in my house up with my loud yell ”YESSSS!”. Ya, I’m not joking, my mother came down with a He was a obvious choice to be in the game, and he carries a very intresting personality and importance to Nintendo. First off I got to say while I don’t like the moves they selected for him (just a few of them), I like how they turned out. His Final Smash is intresting, in which Diddy Kong is invincible and flys around on his jetpack shooting with his peanut guns. While it sounds cool, it isn’t exactly original. Nonetheless, it turned out to be very good, useful, and effective. It seems like a straight up fun move!
As for Diddy Kong’s moves, well he has a lot of COMPLETELY ORIGNAL MOVES! His moves are random speed, and combined with L-cancelling in air, Diddy Kong can turn into a complete beast. Diddy Kong really takes control over the air, especially when he can tech of ceilings and in close proximeties. Diddy Kong may not run very fast, but his DI control is absolutely incredible. His special moves are pretty neat, too. His Peanut Pop Gun Blast can be shot and charged, and his Rocketbarrel Jetpacks can be charged and boost. Despite both being powerful attacks, they explode when charged too long, which I think is ridiculous…ly awsome! It means they can be charged really good, and once you use it enogh, you’ll memorize how to use it. The way it seems, Diddy Kong is a balanced, imtermediate skill character, with tons of original moves, and the first of his fighting type. He’s easily one of the most unique characters in a game full of unique characters! Keep a good eye on Diddy, and his unorthodox play and movement style, because otherwise he might just shoot you! o_O
Unconfirmed Status Veteran: Luigi

Yes, he’s IN BRAWL! That’s a fact, and should be in wikipedia. He’s going to be in, it’s just a matter of time. And anyone who doubts him, I suggest you submit yourself on Dr. Phil NOAW! He’s in the game, and anyone who cannont accept that fact probably doesn’t even think MARIO will be playable. Seriously, if you are one of those people, wise up! Sakurai would be removed as director of Brawl if he tried NOT to have Luigi in Brawl. But, like from smash 64 to Melee, he’ll change, but we’ll see more of it this time around. He will definitely not be a Mario clone in Brawl, or even a semi-clone. I imagine Luigi working like this:
His neutral B fires spurts of fireballs, three at a time, to be exact, that resist gravity and go straight. His forward B will be the same, but without the random explosion. His down B will be sorta the same, but similar to Mario in Super Mario Galaxy’s tornado attack. It should have the same distance (meaning movement), but it should have more range, and suck in opponents. And in air, it should be diffrent. As for Luigi’s down B, keep it the same, but make it chargeable like his up B. Make Luigi’s jumps really help define him as a character, and still have that super strong kill status thing. Also, give Luigi more of a super floaty status like in Super Mario Bros. 2, and make him have INCREDIBLE length recovery distance.
As for his smash attacks…keep his forward smash the same, but make it to where you can follow up with it. Make his down smash where he ninja chops both directions with both hands. Leave his up smash the same, but make it have diffrent from Mario’s. Make his tilts say the same, though his up tilt should be more of a uppercut. And for goodness sake, make his running attack a three hit ninja attack, but good, and NOT A GIMMICK! As for areials…keep his neutral air and down air (since Mario has a new down air), as well as his forward air (diffrent from Mario’s). Make his back air a flip kick, but do damage the same way. Make his up air and straight up fast Samus-old Luigi up air combination damaging attack. And lastly, his Final Smash SHOULD BE his vaccum. Ya, you know what it does.
O, and Luigi IS (BASICALLY) CONFIRMED! Why=??? BECAUSE I SAID SO! XD
Unconfirmed Veteran: Captain Falcon

It’s become a daily ritual for us, and we’ve long awaited for it. And Captain Falcon IS IN BRAWL, and that’s A FACT, TOO! The nipple, the knee, the punch, the fist, the other knee(s), the helmet…we LOVE ALL OF CAPTAIN FALCON! As for his moveset-keep it the same, but weaken his knee, and make his other moves better. And make it to where his forward B can grab edges AUTOMATICALLY (like it already does with all attacks to edges with Brawl), too. For a Final Smash-give him either a Super Knee, have him drive the Blue Falcon, or give him a stage engulfing SUPER CAPTAIN FALCON PUNCH! *world aploades* Explect to see him SOON!
Potential Newcomer: MegaMan

The most popular character not in smash already, this AAA-class star MORE THEN DESERVES HIS SPOT! I’m gonna level with you-he’s my most newcomer and 3rd aprty character for Brawl. I’ve been playing MegaMan games since I got MegaMan 7 for Christmas, and I never looked back. Good times, good times. Anyways, having sold almost 30 million units, MegaMan has more then earned his spot. Having a variety of looks, HUGE POPULARITY, and being the most desired character for Brawl (since Sonic the Hedgehog was confirmed), he more then deserves his spot. And with the icon theory OFFICIALLY debunked, chances are he will be in Brawl. And since nothing outside the Dojo, Nintendo, what Sakurai says, or the final game is fact (ya, that interview means NADA!), he’s got great chances.
If there is no MegaMan in Brawl, however, don’t expect another 3rd party character. Not even Geno. Ya that’s right-Geno and MegaMan are argueablly the opposite sides of a coin. One’s chances heavily reflects on another. And with Capcom’s good relations PERIOD, and amazing relationships with Nintendo (making 4 Zelda games; Four Swords, Oracles of Seasons, Oracles of Ages, and Minish Cap). Not to mention he’s Capcom’s only character choice, and their mascot. He’s a sign of awsomeness, and everyone likes him. No, MegaMan would not be a Samus clone. That’s ridiculous. Obviously by that logic Marth is a Mario clone because their names start with an M, and they have feet. zOMG! o_O Seriously though, he’d be original. It’d be cool if they implimented his power-stealing abilities (he could “borrow” one from 126 powers from the MegaMan Classic and X series alone), since he was the first real power stealer. Ya, since MegaMan has been doing it for about 5 years before Kirby’s Dream Land, he should use it in Brawl. But I’m going to have to say he will not, assuming he’s in Brawl.
So ya, if there is ANOTHER 3rd party character, expect MegaMan. Like Sonic, everybody knows him (though Sonic is far more reconizable). And the fact he’s the only 3rd party character more reconizable then Snake (other then Sonic, and Pac-man, but Pac-man has been dead for like two decades) helps his chances, a lot! If Sakurai wants popular characters, MegaMan is a obvious choice. And could be one of the most unique characters in smash yet! ;)
So ya, that’s my character evaluation! I hope you enjoyed it, and if this event going on today does NOT reveal the entire roster, I’ll do it again soon! Sorry if it took so long to post this, for those who were waiting. Also, even if the entire roster is revealed at this WHobbles event or whatever, I’ll probably just cover the confirmed characters. I (along with other bloggers) will probably cover characters after Brawl comes out. So ya, have a nice day!

I said Falcon. Marth is out. As for Gannon I’d say there is a 50/50 chance.

Marth is in dude, don’t deny it.

Ganondorf IS IN! Same with Marth, though Ganondorf is 109% in, Marth is just 98. >_<

The only move I see being similar to Samus is the standard B move. And that too can be different. The difference being you have to hold down the button to charge the move but its stronger then Samus’s. Pfft, he’s got tons of original moves, just cause he has a blaster, people think he’s similar to Samus.
